One of the main objectives of the PRFU is to further promote Rugby Union as a fun sport that can be enjoyed by girls and boys in the Filipino school system.

As a result of PRFU development we now have 6 Clubs – Nomads, Alabang Eagles, Makati Chiefs, Philippine Warriors/MAAP, Philippine Air Force (PAF) team in Clark Airbase and Cebu City RFC - and both Nomads and Eagles can field two teams.

The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) now has rugby football in their curriculum and one of our coaches is going up to Baguio 3 days a week to run the program.

The international schools ISM, Brent, British School and Faith Academy have had 15’s rugby at Varsity and Junior varsity levels for a few years now and in 2004, added Girls Touch Rugby. For 2005-2006 they will add touch rugby programs in middle school (for boys and girls) for the first time. The PRFU is also promoting Women's Touch Rugby and Junior Touch Rugby (ages 4-14) and there are very active teams at Nomads and Alabang Eagles.

In addition, we have Junior Rugby coaching activities for Filipinos in Morong, Tuloy Foundation (Alabang), Bahay Bata Orphanage (Angeles City) and Tarlac City as well as in the British School, some Montessori Schools in Manila and the International British School in Cavite.
