PRFU General Manager Matt Cullen with PRFU Sec-Gen Alvin San Diego and sons enjoying the PRFU 7's league games at Rizal Stadium
Round 2 of the PRFU 7’s League saw the inclusion of two full Filipino teams with MAAP and PNPA sending both Men’s 7’s and ladies teams to train for the first ever National Ladies Rugby Team.

The teething problems that were encountered the previous round at Rizal were not a problem this week with the PRFU enforcing strict IRB rules and regulations especially in relation to the team areas and substitutions. The set up procedures ran smoothly this week and as a consequence PRFU Development Officers Juan Engelbrecht and Carlito “Ahlo” Abono were able to prepare a ladies tackle rugby team to play the Cebu Dragons at the Subic 7’s on Oct 10.

The Men’s 7’s draw included the Eagles, Ibons, Nomads, MAAP and PNPA and each team played a round robin format which meant 4 games in the afternoon. Rizal Stadium proved to be a quality venue for 7’s rugby and the PRFU will apply to the PSC to host further events at the National Stadium in the future.
The game results are as listed:

Game 1 Eagles 36 v MAAP 5
Game 2 : Nomads 36 v PNPA 5
Game 3 Ibons 17 v MAAP 5
Game 4 : Eagles 31 v Nomads 7
Game 5: Ibons 22 v PNPA 0
Game 6 : Nomads 15 v MAAP 10
